Sex & Nudity

  • Actor Charles Bronson is seen in a brief shower sequence (the shower trap cleverly hides a tunnel shaft), but he is not visible from the waist down.

Violence & Gore

  • A man stabs a pitchfork into a pile of trees, where another man is hiding, No man is stabbed or injured.
  • A man crashes through three bunks on a bed.
  • A man crashes his motorcycle into barbed wire, showing some cuts and scrapes.
  • There is also some motorcycle accidents.
  • There are scenes where men are killed by gunfire.
  • Nazi soldiers are shot in a drive-by shooting while they are sitting at a cafe. Brief but violent.
  • Although a lot of the things mentioned above may sound graphic and intense but most of the scenes of violence are brief and non-graphic.


  • Brief mild language, such as "damn" and "hell."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Contains some scenes involving tobacco use.
  • There is also one scene involving moonshine.
  • There is a reference to "getting good and stoned" but it is referring to getting drunk, not high.

Violence & Gore

  • Two prisoners are shot off-screen. It is later made clear that a total of fifty (50) prisoners were executed altogether, in violation of normal rules of warfare.
  • A man prisoner commits suicide by climbing the fence and being shot by the guards. His body hangs on the fence. Some blood is shown very briefly.
  • A plane carrying two escaped prisoners crashes, killing one of them (some blood).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene where Archibald Ives is shot to death, and where his body is hanging in the barbed wire may be intense.
